I wanna talk about some topics that people call me about in general. One of those topics is mediation in divorce.
A lot of people will call and ask me, what is mediation and how do I do it?
Mediation is a process that you can use in many areas of law but you can use it in a divorce. In that process, you would hire a neutral mediator who can help both parties; sit down at a table, try to work together, try to avoid court, and come up with a resolution on how to divide property, custody for the children, and spousal support and child support.
And you can do that entire process without even sitting in the court room.
If for some reason, that process doesn’t work for you but want to try it, you always have the option of going to court at a later time. If you decide that that’s a better option for you. But mediation does resolve a lot of cases and is generally cheaper and resolves your case a lot faster than going to court. Should you need expert advice on mediation, you can call me.
